The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office serves as the County’s only local law enforcement agency. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, incorporated in 1861. Our long standing motto of “A Tradition of Service” speaks to our employee’s commitment to protect and serve the citizens and visitors of Douglas County. We remain dedicated to maintaining the quality of life enjoyed throughout our community, and ensure our county is a safe place to live, work and visit.
