MINDEN, Nev. –– The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has identified the individuals who died in two separate ski incidents Feb. 20, 2026, at Heavenly Ski Resort.
Nicholas Jamil Haddad, 33, of West Bloomfield, Michigan, and Brian Robert Frias, 57, of Elk Grove, California, died as a result of injuries sustained in unrelated incidents at the resort. There is no connection between the two.
The cause and manner of death remain under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office extends its condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.
