MINDEN, Nev. – On March 3, 2026, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies and East Fork Fire Protection District responded to a crash involving a dirt bike and a Razor UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle).
The crash occurred on Hot Springs Mountain near the end of East Valley Road and Lindsey Lane.
One victim, identified as a 17-year-old male juvenile, was transported by Care Flight to Renown Regional Medical Center, in Reno, Nevada. Due to severe trauma received during the crash, the juvenile did not survive and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Nevada State Police is assisting the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation. Deceased identity is pending notification of next of kin. No additional information is available at this time.
