In February 2017, Ricardo Serrano-Perez was identified as the suspect in a Sexual Assault of a Minor case which occurred in Douglas County, Nevada. During the course of this investigation, evidence confirmed Serrano-Perez was the perpetrator of this crime. In 2017, Serrano-Perez fled to Mexico to avoid arrest. Between 2017 and 2023, legal efforts were made by the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office to extradite Serrano-Perez from Mexico back to Douglas County, Nevada.
On October 9, 2023, Ricardo Serrano-Perez was booked into the Douglas County Jail on the charge of Sexual Assault of a Minor.
