Explorer Post 2105

Updated Explorers

The DCSO Explorer Program is for individuals ages 13 to 20 and who are interested in pursuing a future career in law enforcement or the military.
Through training, practical exercises and activities, explorer cadets learn the laws of Nevada and Douglas County, criminal procedure, various law enforcement functions and procedures, and begin developing their foundation as adults and as pillars of the community.
The program is heavily involved in several community events year-round including: providing honor guard (the presentation of the colors), traffic control and direction for events, and other assistance as needed.
Throughout the years, Explorer Post 2105 has participated in regional law enforcement explorer competitions which have tested the training, skills, and judgment of the explorers through a series of and practical scenarios. Success at various competitions resulted in earning several trophies which are displayed at the Douglas County Judicial Law Enforcement Center (JLEC), standing as proof that the training, curriculum and methods being taught in the program are the best of the best.
