Stateline, NV – On February 8, 2025, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Harveys Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino valet at 2:46 p.m. for a report of a person who had fallen from the 20th floor of the casino near the valet entrance. The person was identified as Daniel Tovar, 31, from Pomona, California. Tovar suffered fatal injuries as a result of the fall and was pronounced dead at 2:50 p.m.
Tovar arrived in Stateline on February 8 on an Amtrak bus from Los Angeles.
