The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Receives Grant from the Department of Public Safety for the Driving Under the Influence Campaign

Minden, NV- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) received a grant from the Department of Public Safety for the Driving Under the Influence Campaign. It allows the Douglas County Sheriff's Office to have more enforcement on our state roads and highways to emphasize the dangers while impaired. DCSO wants to help bring greater awareness to the importance of safe and sober driving.

The Driving Under the Influence campaign begins immediately and runs through September 2021. During this time, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office will dedicate extra officers to enforcement with the aim of reducing tragedies caused by people driving while impaired.

Included in the Driving Under the Influence grant is equipment for the patrol Deputies. This equipment provided is Portable Breath Testers (PBT).

Nevada's goal is Zero Fatalities on our roads. To reach this goal, it is critical to always drive sober. Visit https://zerofatalitiesnv.com/ for more information.
