Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Responds to Shooting in Gardnerville

Gardnerville, Nevada- On May 5, 2021 at approximately 4:02 a.m., the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Alicia Circle, Gardnerville, Nevada for occupants reporting an unknown subject entered their residence without permission. The homeowner confronted the subject and discharged a firearm striking the subject once. The subject, who was later identified as Christian Gorham, was detained by the homeowner until DCSO arrived. Gorham was transported to Carson Valley Medical Center for his injuries. Gorham was treated and released to DCSO. Gorham was booked in the Minden Jail for Burglary. 

At this time, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office does not believe the incident which occurred on May 4, 2021 is linked.

 Minden, NV- On May 5, 2021 at approximately 4:00 a.m. the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to the area of Alicia Circle and Tilman Lane, in Gardnerville, Nevada to reports of a male subject entering a residence and was shot by the homeowner. The suspect was transported for their injuries and is currently in stable condition.  There is no threat to the community at this time. DCSO Investigations unit is investigating the incident. This is an ongoing investigation.
